We are focused on constant supply of electricity, partnership with independent power providers and REA (Rural Electricity Agency) for deployment of Mini-solar grid to Communities.

Our Vision

To ensure that all Urban, Semi-Urban and Rural communities and all Government infrastructures have reliable and efficient electricity supply by the year 2030.

Our Mission

To provide electricity supply either by extending the grid system or by means such as renewable energy to rural, semi-urban and urban communities in order to stem rural-urban drift, improve social economic activities and create employment opportunities.

Objectives

- Driving economic development through the provision of affordable and reliable electricity.

Functions

- Establish and manage electricity undertakings

- Take overall electricity undertakings and installations within the state which are the properties of the state government.

- Secure the supply of electricity at reasonable prices.

- Advice the government on all matters relating to the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

- Generate, transmit, distribute and sell electricity either in bulk or to individual opportunities.
